What Youll Be Doing

As a Cook II you will support daily culinary operations with professionalism efficiency and creativity ensuring all dishes meet Fairmonts high standards:

  • Prepare cook and plate menu items with accuracy consistency and attention to detail
  • Maintain exceptional standards of kitchen cleanliness sanitation and food safety
  • Assist with inventory control stock rotation and ordering processes
  • Adhere to all kitchen policies procedures and safety guidelines
  • Learn and execute menu items daily features and promotional offerings
  • Deliver proactive friendly service while collaborating effectively with the culinary team
  • Perform additional duties as assigned to support overall kitchen operations

Qualifications :

What You Bring to the Role

Were seeking a passionate culinary professional with the following qualifications:

  • Minimum 1 year of experience in a banquet or restaurant culinary environment
  • Culinary Arts diploma or certification (considered an asset)
  • Valid Food Safe certification (required)
  • Strong passion for food creativity and service excellence
  • Ability to perform effectively in a fast-paced high-pressure environment
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Proven teamwork and interpersonal skills
  • High level of responsibility reliability and organization
  • Flexibility to work early mornings evenings weekends holidays and overnight shifts as required

Physical Requirements 

  • Prolonged standing and walking throughout the shift
  • Frequent lifting and carrying of items up to 50 lbs.
  • Occasional kneeling pushing pulling and climbing stairs or ladders

Must be legally eligible to work in Canada. The hotel is unable to assist candidates in obtaining Canadian work authorization.
