What Youll Be Doing
As a Cook II you will support daily culinary operations with professionalism efficiency and creativity ensuring all dishes meet Fairmonts high standards:
- Prepare cook and plate menu items with accuracy consistency and attention to detail
- Maintain exceptional standards of kitchen cleanliness sanitation and food safety
- Assist with inventory control stock rotation and ordering processes
- Adhere to all kitchen policies procedures and safety guidelines
- Learn and execute menu items daily features and promotional offerings
- Deliver proactive friendly service while collaborating effectively with the culinary team
- Perform additional duties as assigned to support overall kitchen operations
Qualifications :
What You Bring to the Role
Were seeking a passionate culinary professional with the following qualifications:
- Minimum 1 year of experience in a banquet or restaurant culinary environment
- Culinary Arts diploma or certification (considered an asset)
- Valid Food Safe certification (required)
- Strong passion for food creativity and service excellence
- Ability to perform effectively in a fast-paced high-pressure environment
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Proven teamwork and interpersonal skills
- High level of responsibility reliability and organization
- Flexibility to work early mornings evenings weekends holidays and overnight shifts as required
Physical Requirements
- Prolonged standing and walking throughout the shift
- Frequent lifting and carrying of items up to 50 lbs.
- Occasional kneeling pushing pulling and climbing stairs or ladders
