Job Summary

Parliamentary Service are seeking an experienced Intelligence Analyst to lead the development and delivery of high-quality security intelligence products that inform decision-making and operational responses.

MōtetūngaAbout the role:

In this role youll analyse complex information to identify emerging threats and risks provide timely intelligence advice and support the safety and wellbeing of Members of Parliament staff visitors and the public. Youll work closely with internal teams and partner agencies contributing to a coordinated intelligence-led security environment.

  • Deliver high-quality security intelligence and analysis to inform threat risk and operational decisionmaking.
  • Analyse information from multiple sources to identify emerging trends risks and behaviours of Persons or Groups of Interest.
  • Produce clear timely intelligence products to support tactical operational and strategic outcomes.
  • Maintain intelligence information holdings and ensure accurate ethical and appropriate use of data.
  • Provide intelligence advice to support security operations incident responses and staff safety.
  • Support major Parliamentary events and external engagements through intelligence scanning and assessment.
  • Work collaboratively with internal teams and external security and intelligence partners including Police and specialist agencies.
  • Contribute to a professional intelligenceled security culture focused on safety service excellence and continuous improvement.

This is a unique opportunity to apply analytical expertise in a nationally significant high-trust environment. The expected salary range for this position is between $83135 - $105435 per annum. Appointments will be made based on skills and experience.

  • A relevant tertiary qualification or be able to demonstrate relevant experience in a similar role.
  • Excellent analytical critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to tailor outputs to different audiences.

  • High levels of integrity discretion and professionalism.
  • A collaborative mindset and commitment to inclusive respectful ways of working.
