The Utah State University Music Department invites applications for a full-time Assistant Professor in Music Therapy to contribute to the undergraduate music therapy program in the Department of Music within the Caine School of the Arts College of Arts and Sciences. Candidate must possess an engaging teaching manner strong interpersonal and clinical musicianship skills with the ability to teach from different perspectives of theoretical orientations and approaches to music therapy.
Utah State University is NASM-accredited institution and hosts an AMTA-approved Academic and Clinical Music Therapy Training Program; it awards the Bachelor of Science in Music Therapy. The undergraduate music therapy program currently serves 80 students and supports one full-time faculty one temporary instructor one part-time clinical coordinator and eight part-time supervisors/instructors.
This is a full-time tenure-track position beginning August 2026.
