This on-site contract position provides an excellent opportunity to contribute to patient care in a dynamic medical practice environment.
As a key member of our surgical team you will play a crucial role in assisting with pre-operative and post-operative care supporting surgeons during procedures and ensuring that our patients receive the highest quality of care. Your expertise will directly impact our surgical outcomes and patient satisfaction.
Responsibilities
- Assist in pre-operative and post-operative patient care
- Support cardiothoracic surgeons during surgical procedures
- Conduct physical examinations and medical histories
- Order and interpret diagnostic tests
- Develop and implement patient care plans
- Educate patients and families regarding treatment plans
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes
- Maintain accurate patient records and documentation
Requirements
- Associate degree in Nursing or relevant field
- Current NP or PA license in the state of Georgia
- Experience in cardiothoracic surgery or similar medical practice
- Strong clinical assessment and diagnostic skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment
- Commitment to patient-centered care
- Basic life support (BLS) certification required
Schedule: 24-hour beeper call 1 weekend per month
Daily Volume: 8 patients
Duties: Consults ED CVICU and anything related to CT surgery
Team Structure: 1 Surgeon 2 APPS floor and OR nurse structure
EMR: Epic
Must be board-certified
Paid travel & expenses
