The Role

We are an established recruitment agency seeking an experienced Payroll Officer to join our internal team on a temporary basis. This role supports the accurate and timely payroll processing of our temporary workforce and provides payroll and accounts support to internal stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities

End-to-end payroll processing for temporary and contract employees
Interpreting awards EBAs and timesheets
Ensuring payroll compliance and accuracy
Responding to payroll enquiries from candidates and consultants
Bank reconciliations and payroll-related transactions
Processing adjustments allowances and deductions
Supporting month-end and end-of-financial-year processes
Liaising with internal consultants and finance team

About You

Proven experience as a Payroll Officer ideally within a recruitment or labour-hire environment
Strong knowledge of payroll legislation awards and compliance
High attention to detail with strong numerical skills
Confident communicator with a customer-focused approach
Strong Excel and MS Office skills
Reliable proactive and able to work in a fast-paced environment
