The Role
The Community Giving Manager is a strategic relationship-driven leader responsible for growing monthly giving supervising GenPrides Communications Coordinator donor engagement pathway and ensuring consistent values-aligned messaging across fundraising and engagement initiatives. This is a part-time hourly role with a flexible hybrid schedule including in-person presence at the GenPride Center. Occasional extra hours are expected during campaigns events or seasonal giving periods.
Key Responsibilities
Community Giving
- Lead plan and implement GenPrides community giving programs including individual donor appeals monthly giving and donor stewardship with a focus on retention growth and long-term engagement.
- Set track and meet established revenue goals and performance metrics for community giving initiatives.
- Build and strengthen donor relationships by implementing consistent donor-centered engagement and stewardship practices.
- Maintain accurate and coordinated donor relationship management using the donor database including tracking gifts interactions and outcomes.
- Plan and lead community gatherings and donor-facing events including outreach logistics coordination and follow-up.
- Collaborate with the Executive Director key staff and board members to advance community giving goals and strengthen donor participation.
- Apply racial aging and LGBTQIA2S equity frameworks in daily work communications and decision-making.
- Participate actively in team meetings organizational learning and culture-building practices.
Communications & Storytelling
- Create clear welcoming communication pathways for donors volunteers and LGBTQIA2S elders that foster belonging trust and connection to GenPrides mission.
- Lead donor-facing storytelling that centers the lived experiences dignity and resilience of LGBTQIA2S elders.
- Supervise the Communications Coordinator providing strategic direction coaching and support to ensure high-quality mission-aligned work.
- Collaborate across teams to integrate online and print communications with fundraising and engagement strategies.
- Ensure consistent values- and mission-aligned messaging across all platforms and audiences.
Qualifications
- 3 years of experience in major gifts planned giving or high-level donor relations in a nonprofit setting.
- Proven track record of securing major gifts and/or planned gifts.
- Experience coordinating donor events house parties or educational sessions.
- Experience creating work plans that align financial and programmatic strategies.
- Experience implementing detailed and complex work plans that include collaborating with all levels of the organization.
- Strong interpersonal relationship-building and communication skills.
- Experience with donor databases (Salesforce preferred) and reporting.
- Strategic thinker with excellent organizational skills; able to manage multiple priorities.
