About the role

This role contributes to the success of the City by supporting the delivery and continuous improvement of the City of Hobarts grants program. It coordinates operational tasks assists community and business applicants and ensures compliance with established funding procedures and governance standards.

The role includes:

  • Supporting the evaluation and improvement of funding programs through data collection and analysis.
  • Preparing program documentation such as guidelines application forms and approval processes within the SmartyGrants platform.
  • Collaborating with Communications Marketing and Engagement and Business Support teams on media plans website updates and public announcements.
  • Supporting information sessions and assessment panel processes.
  • Assisting applicants with enquiries eligibility contract execution and acquittal processes.
  • Monitoring project progress funding utilisation and compliance obligations.
  • Contributing to continuous improvement and providing advice on funding program policy and practice.

In this role you will coordinate welldesigned grant programs support applicants with clear and friendly communication and keep timelines and documentation running smoothly.

If you enjoy meaningful work detaildriven coordination and engaging with stakeholders to make a real impact this role is for you.

The following are essential for the role:

  • Demonstrated practical competence acquired through years of experience in a similar field and/or identifiable transferable skills.
  • Experience in the coordination and delivery of a grants or similar program.
  • Experience in the delivery of business community cultural or event programs.
  • Well-developed written and verbal communication skills including the ability to prepare documentation and provide strategic advice.
  • Demonstrated ability to build and maintain relationships with a wide range of stakeholders.
  • A solutions focused approach to challenges.
  • Experience using an online grants management system such as SmartyGrants which is considered an advantage.
  • A current Driver Licence.

A relevant degree in fields such as Community Development or Program Management is desirable.
