Receiving & Material Handling Clerk

Job Duties:

• Employee will work to fulfill production schedules.
• Employee will be certified in our quality control process.
• Employee will meet the quality goals.
• Employee will meet the productivity goals. Employee will comply to the company safety standards.
• Employee will be forklift certified.
• Compares identifying information and counts weighs or measures items of incoming and
  outgoing shipments to verify information against bills of lading invoices orders or other
  records.
• Must know basic quality terms definitions and concepts.
• Must have basic measurement knowledge using calipers tape measures etc. Must be proficient in metric as well as standard measurement systems.
• Communicate with the manager and purchasing as well as other affected parties to go over any special instructions problems or issues that need to be addressed (can also include working with vendors)
• Manage all items in the Material inspection manual according to established processes.
• Unpacks and examines incoming shipments rejects damaged items records shortages and corresponds with the shipper to rectify damages and shortages.
  Routes items to departments.
• Maintains inventory of receiving and QC materials and supplies.

Job Qualifications:

• 2-3 years experience in receiving inventory control and warehouse environment.
  Previous warehouse experience.
• Basic computer proficiency.
• Experience using inventory control systems.
• Ability to work in a team environment.
• Valid drivers license required

• Must be able to lift up to 40 lbs. Frequently.

• Must be able to work on your feet including standing for the entire length of the shift which are up to 10 hours.
• Must be able to work in and around manufacturing and production equipment whichincludes frequently climbing ladders bending stooping standing walking twisting kneeling and reaching.
• Must be able to see / hear to visually and audibly acknowledge critical safety instructions alarms forklift traffic perform quality inspections and equipment inspections.
• Must be able to sustain repetitive movement of the upper and lower extremities with varying degrees of force.
• Must be able to push pull up to 100 pounds of force on a regular basis including moving pallets carts glass/plastic sheets and boxes using a hand truck or other similar equipment.
