Job Title: Mailroom Clerk
Location: New Haven Connecticut
Schedule: 1st Shift (8:00 AM 4:30 PM)
Pay: $23$25/hr
Overview
We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Mailroom Clerk to manage daily shipping receiving and mailroom operations in a fast-paced office environment. This role is essential to keeping materials organized shipments on track and internal teams supported.
Key Responsibilities
- Receive sort and distribute daily mail and deliveries
- Package and prepare outgoing shipments (weighing labeling postage and staging)
- Track shipments manage incoming packages and resolve delivery issues
- Maintain and operate postal equipment (meters scales etc.)
- Support mass mailings address verification and returned mail processing
- Manage inventory of mailroom supplies and restock as needed
- Monitor postage usage and replenish meters
- Track and report monthly usage data
Qualifications
- Entry-level role; prior mailroom or shipping/receiving experience is a plus
- Ability to read and follow instructions policies and procedures
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Basic computer skills for tracking and reporting
- Good communication and customer service skills

- Ability to manage multiple tasks in a structured environment
- Problem-solving skills for handling misdirected or damaged shipments
- Comfortable working with shipping systems and office equipment
