About the Project:
The Lumsden Point Upgrade expands port infrastructure in Port Hedland to support new trade pathways. ACCIONA will deliver two land backed wharves as part of this multi user development. The broader works include dredging new berths and logistics areas. The project strengthens export capacity and drives long term regional growth.
About the Opportunity/Position:
You lead WHS across site and report to the Senior Advisor Health & Safety. You guide risk assurance and contractor performance and support field leaders to manage high risk marine and civil activities. You investigate incidents drive corrective actions and use data insights to improve outcomes. You coach teams promote wellbeing and help build a strong practical safety culture.
What are the key accountabilities for the position
- Apply WHS law and duty of care
- Lead risk assessments and risk controls
- Run safety tours gap checks and audits
- Investigate incidents and close out actions
- Provide clear WHS advice to leaders
- Monitor WHS data and report insights
- Support contractor onboarding and reviews
Required Skills and Competencies
What Capability & Experience will you need to have:
- Cert IV WHS
- 3-5 years WHS experience
- Strong WHS risk knowledge
- Incident investigation skills
- Clear communicator
