Join our Downer Professional Servicesteam and play a key role in delivering complex defence and national security projects that safeguard Australias future.

Downer Professional Services is comprised of two business units our Technical Advisory and Capability consulting practice and Team Downer a major service partner to Defence. Together we are amulti-disciplinary advisory and delivery partner of choice for our clients in Defence and National Security.

We currently have two opportunities for Strategic Business Advisor and Capability/Transition Manager to work on an Airborne Electronic Attack Capability engagement in Canberra.

What Youll Do

This role offers a broad scope with key role responsibilities including:

Providing Airborne Electronic Attack (AEA) technical support and advice on EA-18G Growler aircraft EA systems and Jammers.
Conducting and documenting relevant capability management and introduction into service maturity assessments (including reviews and updates as required).
Providing technical advice and independent recommendations by assisting in coordination with the Air Combat Program and between the project and the broader Defence Intelligence Surveillance Reconnaissance and Electronic Warfare (ISREW) programs and the Joint EW Program.
Providing technical advice and independent project management recommendations for the transition and/or introduction into service of EA-18G AEA capabilities and FIC including associated training and ancillary systems acquired under Project AIR 5349 and other enabling projects and programs.
Capture the data and information necessary to inform Integrated Capability Assessments and Integrated Force Assurance activities against the ongoing capability development cycle.

What Youll Bring

Extensive Defence capability experience (especially AEA / EW).
Strong understanding of ODCS governance and assurance process and the Capability Life Cycle.
Ability to operate credibly at senior governance and approval forums.
Excellent stakeholder engagement skills.

Due to the nature of the work you are required to currently hold and maintain a minimumNegative Vetting 2or higher Security clearance as required by the some instances compliance withInternational Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR)requirements may also be an inherent requirement.
