We are seeking a remarkable Lawyer to join our high performing Commercial Litigation Brisbane practice

The role

We are seeking a Lawyer (2-4 PQE) to join our market-leading Commercial Litigation practice based in our impressive Brisbane office. This exciting opportunity will see you working with Partner Chris Erfurt on complex disputes and insurance advisory matters across a variety of clients. Chris and his team have a well-respected reputation in the market and are considered as trusted advisers to various corporate and government clients.

Initially this role will involve mostly working on the defence of personal injuries claims for corporate and government clients. Responsibilities in this role will include reviewing and preparing evidence drafting correspondence and court documents file management assisting with advice and interaction with Counsel and preparation for interlocutory hearings and trials. You will have the opportunity to work closely with and learn from senior team members and Counsel.

Skills & Experience

To be successful in this role you will have:

• Between 2-4 years PQE ideally within private practice
• Commercial litigation contentious and ideally insurance experience
• Strong academic achievements
• Familiarity with Supreme and/or Federal Court litigation and ideally the PIPA process
• Thrive in environments that value independence balanced with a collaborative approach initiative and a strong work ethic
• A strong focus on delivering exceptional client service
• Highly developed interpersonal and communication skills; required for building effective client relationships and contributing to a positive team environment
• An appetite to learn and develop in the role utilising mentoring opportunities from senior team members
