The Alfred Infant Child and Youth Area Mental Health and Wellbeing Service (ICYAMHWS)
Alfred ICYAMHWSis one component of the Department of Mental & Addiction Health at Alfred Health. We are a community-based service providing comprehensive assessment treatment and case management to infants children adolescents and young people up to the age of 25 years of age presenting with behavioural emotional psychiatric or developmental difficulties.
This position sits on the Mental Health and Intellectual Disability Initiative for Youth (MHIDI-Y) team and provides speech pathology assessment across the clinic. TheMHIDI-Yprogram addresses a critical service gap by providing a specialist community-based specialist mental health service for young people aged 12 - 26 with an intellectual disability and mental illness.
WHAT YOULL BE DOING
In this role you will provide case management andspeech pathology assessment and intervention within the MHIDI-Y team and across the ICYAMHWSclinic.
You will work with the multi-disciplinary team to contribute to the team assessment therapeutic intervention with young people and families care team collaboration and group work as required.
