As a System Engineer you will play a critical role in ensuring the reliability security and performance of our digital infrastructure. Collaborating closely with cross-functional teams youll be the go-to person for troubleshooting system upgrades and user support.

Please note: This role is a 6-month fixed-term contract with hybrid working options. You will be required to come into our office based in Brisbane CBD.

Your part in our UnitingCare team

• Monitoring managing and maintaining the health and availability of our Azure integration platform including servers databases and processes.

• Implement and oversee security protocols access controls and authentication mechanisms to protect sensitive data and maintain compliance with relevant regulations.

• Identify and resolve technical issues investigate incidents and implement preventive measures to minimize downtime and disruptions.

• Regularly assess system performance conduct diagnostics and implement optimizations to ensure efficient operation and response times.

• Plan and execute platform upgrades updates and patches to ensuresystemsare running on the latest versions with optimal features and security.

• Develop and implement data backup and recovery strategies to safeguard against data loss and ensure business continuity.

• Provide technical support to UCQ customers addressing their inquiries concerns and technical challenges related to the integration platforms.

• Maintain accurate documentation of system configurations procedures and troubleshooting guides to facilitate knowledge sharing and training.

• Collaborate with IT teams developers and stakeholders to align platform capabilities with business requirements and strategic goals.

• Take ownership of GitHub repo and existing Dev/Ops strategy on integration platforms.

• Identify opportunities for automation to streamline routine tasks reduce manual intervention and improve operational efficiency

What makes a difference for us

• Bachelors degree in Computer Science Information Technology or related field (or equivalent experience).

• Proven experience as an Azure Platform AdministratorSystemsEngineer or similar role.

• Proficiency in supporting the Azure integration (AIS) platform on varying operating systems (Windows Linux)

• Proficiency in managing integration processes on cloud services and familiarity with databases (SQL NoSQL).

• Understanding of Dev/Ops principles underlying infrastructure needs and maintenance.

• Understanding of BICEP or ARM templates.

• Strong understanding of security practices and protocols including access controls and data encryption.

• Strong understanding of networking concepts and firewalls within Windows and Linux environments.

• Strong change and release management experience.

• Familiarity with monitoring and performance optimization tools.

• Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot complex technical issues.

• Effective communication and interpersonal skills for collaborating with diverse teams and providing user support.
