The Arches Foundation is a Not-For-Profit for purpose agency delivering a multi-suite of services within the community and child protection sectors. We support a diverse range of clients; Young People Families Foster and Kin Carers Government and Non-Government agencies as well as consultation and peripheral services such as leadership training and mentoring staff wellbeing services policy process and compliance support and other.
We are currently recruiting a Full Time Wellbeing and Enrichment Leader. Within this role you will support the wellbeing of the caregiving ecosystem including the young people and families who employees support. Your practice will align with the Arches Practice Framework be child centred trauma informed utilise narrative approaches and evidence-based practices to ensure psychosocial safety therapeutic support and professional growth.

- Clear understanding of professional boundaries and ethical supervision.
- Trauma informed and relational approach to practice.
- Calm empathetic and attuned presence.
- Strong understanding of transference and countertransference.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality but also identify situations that need to be reported and addressed outside Wellbeing.
- Ability to stay within scope of the supervisory role.
The primary objectives of the Wellbeing and Enrichment Leader role are:
- Embedding the Arches Practice Framework through reflective supervision and team engagement.
- Providing one on one reflective supervisions to frontline practitioners and managers.
- Strengthening understanding of trauma attachment and stress responses in young people with complex needs.
- Guiding teams to develop individualised trauma responsive strategies aligned to young peoples need.
- Promoting strong professional boundaries ethical practice and emotional regulation.
- Supporting team and management culture that is psychologically safe reflective and accountable.
- Identifying and responding to risks related to burnout vicarious trauma and cumulative stress through assessing psychosocial risk.
- Providing wellbeing informed input into operations and practice needs through targeted and collaborative planning.
- Working respectfully and inclusively with people from diverse backgrounds including Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples people with disabilities LGBTQIA communities and culturally and linguistically diverse communities.
Essential Selection Criteria:
- The Wellbeing and Enrichment Leader role requires the following:
- A recognised tertiary qualification in Social Work Psychology Counselling Human Services or a closely related discipline.
- Formal training in trauma informed practice including attachment developmental trauma and narrative therapy.
- Training and/or demonstrated competence in reflective or clinical supervision.
- Knowledge of child protection legislation safeguarding requirements and ethical practice standards.
- Demonstrated commitment to ongoing professional development particularly in trauma wellbeing supervision and reflective practice.
- Current Working with Children Blue Card Paid (P).
- Current Drivers License Minimum of P2 level.
- Advanced knowledge of the Child Protection sector relevant legislation regulations standards and industry trends.
- Significant and proven experience in managing the delivery of Human Services specifically to those who have complex and challenging behaviours.
- Knowledge and understanding of Equal Employment Opportunity Ethical Practice Cultural Diversity Statement and Occupational Health and Safety as they relate to this role.
- A high level of computer literacy and proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and comparable systems.
- Display a keen desire to learn increase skill set and be self-motivated.
- Minimum of two years residential care and management experience.
