POSITION SUMMARY

The Front of House Hospitality Team Leader coordinates and oversees beverage preparation customer service delivery stock management and supervision of frontofhouse staff.
They ensure safe working practices and contribute to staff management and training across the frontofhouse team.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Food & Beverage Preparation
  • Prepare beverages within required timeframes.
  • Comply with dietary restrictions and modified diets for staff and visitors; maintain accurate records.
  • Prepare and present food for catering in accordance with the Food Safety Plan and Kosher standards.
  • Prepare and serve coffee and other hot beverages.
  • Assist with food preparation for community events and functions.
  • Perform other kitchen and service duties within capability.
  • Provide customer service and operate pointofsale systems.
  • Conduct table service for meals.
  • Oversee ordering and stock maintenance for all kitchen supplies.
  • Collaborate with the Kitchens and Catering Manager on menu development and frontofhouse policies and procedures.
Cleaning
  • Maintain clean and tidy dining and kitchen areas including sweeping mopping and sanitising equipment.
  • Wash dishes and equipment; ensure work benches remain clean.
  • Store equipment appropriately for safe and easy access.
  • Comply with all requirements of the Food Safety Program.
Relationship Management
  • Foster and maintain positive relationships with external agencies to benefit clients and the organisation.
  • Attend meetings forums and education programs to integrate best practice research and contemporary models into MDAS operations.
  • Work collaboratively with internal teams to support streamlined intake assessment and referral processes.
Leadership
  • Supervise and lead all assigned staff.
  • Delegate duties to frontofhouse staff as required.
  • Provide constructive feedback to support staff development.
  • Address staffing issues promptly and fairly.

  • Comply with all Quality Risk and Occupational Health and Safety laws standards policies and safe work practices; engage in continuous improvement and training.
  • Actively monitor and improve the quality and safety of care and services.
  • Participate in internal and external audit processes.
KEY SELECTION CRITERIA
Food Preparation
  • Minimum 3 years experience in food preparation.
Beverage Preparation
  • Minimum 3 years experience in barista coffee making customer service and leadership.
Teamwork
  • Experience working in a dynamic and diverse workplace.
Respect for Cultural Diversity
  • Demonstrated commitment to providing services inclusive of Aboriginal people.
  • Willingness to learn about and engage with other cultures to enhance relationships and service delivery.
Qualifications
  • Food Handlers Certificate.
  • Formal Qualification in Hospitality.
Other Screening Requirements
  • Current Australian Drivers Licence.
  • Current Employee Working With Children Check.
  • Current National Police Check.
