We areseekinga highly motivated and skilledProgramme Manager (at the rank of Demonstrator) to join the Department of Geography. The appointee will provide comprehensive administrative and teaching supportfor a taught postgraduate program in geospatial data science.
The Role
The appointee will work closely with the Head of Department to manage the operation of the MScGeoDSprogramme. Major duties include:
Programme Administration:Overseeing the daily operations of the taught postgraduate programme including admissionlogistics student inquiries and coordination of academicactivities;
Teaching Support:Conducting tutorials and laboratory sessions (specifically involving geospatial software) course preparation and grading assignments andtests;
Student Support:Providing consultative support to students outside class and managing web-based course materials (Moodle);
Assessment:Invigilating examinations; and
Other Duties:Performing other administrative or academic tasks as assigned by the Department Head.
Qualifications and Qualities
AMastersdegree in Geography Geospatial Data Science or a relateddiscipline;
Demonstrated knowledge in Remote Sensing and/or Geographic Information Systems (GIS) isrequired;
Excellent analytical problem-solving and communicationskills;
A good command of written and spoken English; and
Prior experience in taught postgraduate programme administration or study in tertiary institutions would be a distinct advantage.

The appointment will be made on a two-year fixed-term full-time contract tocommenceas soon as possible with the possibility of renewal subject to satisfactory performance. A highly competitive salarycommensuratewith qualifications and experience will be offered together with contract-end gratuity and University contribution to a retirement benefits scheme at 10% of basic salary.
