Job Summary

POSITION TITLE: Director of the Sutton Summer Fun ProgramREPORTS TO: Business ManagerSUMMARY: Sutton Public Schools offers Summer Sports Programming for students in grades K-12. The Director designs and implements the program. Their role is a dynamic mix of student support and organizational leadership. PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:1. Guides the programs vision and mission2. Designs and oversees daily operations3. Upholds expectations of student and staff behavior4. Hire and develop staff5 . Designs and upholds budget decisions so the program succeeds financially6. Resource allocation facility usage and scheduling7. Decision-making regarding suspension or termination of services to families8. Communicate with parents9. Sets program schedules and implements plans for inclement weather10. Maintains accurate student records using Excel Unibank Google Apps and all relevant programs11. Collaborates with the business office on tuition collections and bookkeeping12. Handles billing processes and procedures13. Guides the programs vision and mission14. Disseminates and implements any district decisions regarding the program15. The starting date will be the Spring of 2025QUALIFICATIONS:1. Must have 3 years of experience in program implementation relating to summer sports programs2. Experience working with managing staff and students3. Experience with budgets and billingEDUCATION:1. Bachelors requiredPHYSICAL DEMANDS:The employee must be able to remain stationary for extended periods and occasionally movethroughout the school building as needed. Regular use of hands for typing handling objectsand operating tools is required along with sufficient grip strength for various tasks. The roleinvolves frequent use of a computer and standard office equipment such as a calculator copierand printer. The employee must be able to enter data read from screens and reviewhandwritten or printed materials with or without visual aids. Clear and effectivecommunication with students parents and colleaguesboth in person and over the phoneisessential. Strong visual and auditory awareness is necessary to ensure student safety andprovide meaningful OF EMPLOYMENT:The position will be a stipend rate of $16200.00 for the time spent as Director during the nine-week program. This includes program prep time which will be assigned in the months leading up to the start of the event weeks as agreed to by the Sutton School Committee. The position will be in place for a 3-year term.
