Jhpiego Pakistan is seeking a Project Coordinator to support program management coordination and reporting for MNCH and health systems strengthening initiatives. The role will support timely implementation of activities across provincial and district levels coordination with government counterparts partners and internal teams and compliance with donor requirements and Jhpiego operational standards. The position will also support alignment with Government of Sindh priorities information systems provincial reporting mechanisms U.S. Department of State (DoS) strategies and global MNCH best practices to ensure effective program delivery.
Responsibilities
- Support the development and execution of annual work plans quarterly implementation plans and activity schedules.
- Coordinate implementation of program activities at provincial and district levels ensuring alignment with approved work plans and budgets.
- Track implementation progress against targets and timelines flagging risks and delays to program leadership.
- Support integration of MNCH BEmONC/CEmONC quality improvement and health systems strengthening activities across program components.
- Compile and review inputs for monthly quarterly and annual donor reports ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
- Maintain organized program documentation including activity reports meeting minutes training records and official correspondence.
- Support documentation of lessons learned best practices and success stories in collaboration with technical teams.
- Coordinate with finance and operations teams to support activity budgeting expenditure tracking and financial reporting.
- Support preparation and processing of procurement requests travel authorizations and activity-related documentation.
- Monitor activity expenditures against approved budgets and flag variances to management.
- Ensure compliance with Jhpiego operational policies and donor regulations.
- Support adherence to donor compliance requirements Jhpiego policies and local regulations.
- Identify implementation risks and operational challenges and support mitigation planning.
- Ensure timely submission of required program documentation and approvals.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelors degree in Public Health Social Sciences Development Studies Health Management or a related field. Masters degree will be an added advantage.
- Minimum 6-7 years of progressive experience in program coordination or program management support preferably in health or MNCH programs.
- Experience working with donor-funded projects (USAID Department of State DFID UN agencies or similar).
- Expertise in the management of health programs and program staff.
- Knowledge of competency-based training performance and quality improvement approaches
- Ability to develop strategic and programmatic plans in cooperation with concerned departments/other stakeholders/donors
- Ability to develop working relationships with counterparts of varying levels of seniority and backgrounds to implement program activities
- Strong decision-making skills team player accustomed to building team capacity delegating work to teams.
- Excellent verbal written and presentation skills.
- Ability to travel within country.
