Construction Manager

The Construction Manager will serve as the primary owners representative on-site overseeing all aspects of construction to ensure projects are delivered safely on time and within budget.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

• Provide oversight of the construction and closeout phases of work.
• Manage weekly progress (OAC) meetings progress of the work for compliance with schedules monitor project documentation (RFIs change proposals etc.)
• Provide on-site quality assurance of work.
• Coordinate owner held contracts.
• Must have good understanding of public procurement procedures design and construction processes.
• On site visits to construction projects is required.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Bachelors Degree in Construction Science/Management Architecture or Engineering is required (relevant field construction management experience in place of education may be considered)
• Minimum of 8 years of experience as a Construction Project Manager; experience with facility or institutional projects strongly preferred.
• Strong understanding of contracts drawings estimates and specifications to ensure compliance with project requirements.
• Knowledge of design-phase management building codes and permitting agencies.
• Proficiency in project controls scheduling estimating cost management and documentation.
• Experience with K12 projects (renovations and new buildings) is required.
• Must be able to communicate clearly and concisely in writing and verbally.
• Must have strong computer skills including Microsoft Office Suite project management information systems (PMIS) and Bluebeam.
• OSHA 30-hour certification preferred.
• Certification as a Certified Construction Manager (CCM) registration as a Professional Engineer (PE or EIT) or registered Architect (RA) is desired but not required.
