A day in this role
As a Multi-Axis Mill-Turn CNC Machinist working on medical instruments and implants youll arrive for your chosen shift pull up work orders in the Epicor Labor Entry system and dive into precision. Youll set up your mill-turn cell stage fixtures and tooling run first-piece checks and fine-tune offsets to hit exacting specs. Throughout the shift youll inspect parts with micrometers calipers height stands and comparators deburr for flawless finishes and keep machines running at peak performance.
Shifts & premiums
- 2nd or 3rd shift (Monday Thursday): 4:30pm 3:00am or 7:30pm 6:00am; 15% shift premium
- Weekend shift (Friday Sunday): 6:00am 6:00pm; work 36 hours get paid for 40; 15% premium on all weekend hours
What youll do
- Set up operate and maintain CNC mill-turn machines finish machines hand tools and fixtures.
- Fabricate precision components for medical instruments and implants.
- Interpret blueprints inspection check-sheets and written instructions to plan each run.
- Use inspection toolscalipers micrometers height stands comparatorsto verify features and dimensions.
- Deburr parts to meet strict medical-grade requirements.
- Adjust offsets make tool changes and troubleshoot issues to maintain throughput and quality.
- Interface with the Epicor Labor Entry system to log labor and monitor work orders.
- Manage internal/external quality for your work center and drive continuous improvements.
- Execute the production plan to achieve on-time delivery for customers.
- Help train teammates within your area when needed.
What you bring
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- 2 years of hands-on experience with CNC mill-turn equipment.
- Strong blueprint reading and GD&T skills.
- Reliable self-starting and comfortable working in a fast-paced environment.
- Quick learner with curiosity for manufacturing processes and continuous improvement.
- Team-oriented organized and a clear communicator (written and verbal).

- CNC Mill (34 axis VMC) and CNC Mill (5 axis VMC)
- CNC Lathe (24 axis) and CNC Lathe (5 axis)
- CNC Swiss Lathe
- Measurement gauges calipers micrometers
