Responsibilities
- Conduct thorough evaluations and assessments of newborns
- Develop and implement individualized care plans
- Collaborate with nursing staff and other healthcare professionals
- Monitor and manage the health of neonates in the unit
- Provide support and education to families regarding infant care
- Participate in ongoing training and professional development
- Adhere to best practices and medical guidelines
- Document patient information accurately and promptly
Requirements
- Medical Doctor (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathy (DO) degree
- Current medical license in the state of Louisiana
- Strong interest in neonatology and pediatrics
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment
- Compassionate and patient-centered approach to care

- Ability to handle high-pressure situations effectively
Schedule: 24-hour in-house call shifts
22-bed Level III NICU
EMR: Epic
Must be board-certified
