Responsible for managing a portfolio of clients with private ancillary funds (PAFs) you will provide the administration service which allows individuals and families to concentrate on supporting the causes they care about.

Role description
The successful candidate will
- Inspire and promote philanthropy by helping clients structure their giving to support causes they care about
- Help clients and their advisers navigate complexity by asking the right questions and connecting relevant expertise
- Play a key role in supporting compliant operation of funds through impeccable administration
- Develop and maintain relationships with intermediaries building partnerships which position APS as the go to provider of giving funds and administration services for ancillary funds
- Establish new private ancillary funds
- Work with a variety of stakeholders to promote our mission and service offering
- Participate in the sector keeping abreast of developments in philanthropy not-for-profit management and governance
Selection criteria
To perform in this position effectively the successful candidate will require the following
Essential skills
- At least 3 years experience in a client relationship role preferably in financial services accounting law or other professional services major gifts or philanthropy.
- Demonstrated experience of managing multiple and diverse stakeholder relationships.
- A keen eye for detail and a desire to providing flawless administration.
- Demonstrated ability to find solutions to problems big and small.
- Thrive on tight deadlines and managing multiple tasks.
- A good understanding of the philanthropic and NFP landscape players and structures in Australia.
Desirable skills
- A degree in relevant discipline such as law finance or accounting or a demonstrated ability to learn quickly and on the job.
- Able to read and understand and discuss financial statements laws and guidelines and investment issues as they relate to trusts.
- Able to make formal and informal presentations to individuals families advisers and other stakeholders.
Personal Attributes
- Strategic and creative thinking and execution Ability to think strategically and creatively and to execute a vision is outcomes focused.
- Proactive approach An ability to see opportunities and a roll up the sleeves approach.
- Technical skills and resourcefulness Sound understanding of Office 365 Suite and CRM experience.
- Communication skills Personable and approachable with strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Influencing and relationship building skills A team player with a constructive and collaborative approach and ability to work with and influence diverse stakeholders.
