Job Summary
India is a top strategic growth market for HP playing a critical role in the companys global expansion innovation leadership and future of work strategy. The Market Communications Lead for India will be responsible for shaping and executing an integrated communications strategy that accelerates business growth elevates HPs leadership position and amplifies the companys impact across one of the worlds most dynamic and influential markets.
Reporting to the VP of Global Communications & Storytelling/Corporate Affairs this role will lead thought leadership corporate and product storytelling media strategy content creation and agency management across India. Serving as a trusted advisor to the SVP & Managing Director and country leadership team the Market Communications Lead will drive local initiatives localize global narratives campaigns and activations to reflect local market priorities cultural nuance and business objectiveswhile maintaining strong alignment with HPs global strategy.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead earned paid shared and owned media strategy across India managing agency partners budget and two internal resources.
- In partnership with Marketing define and execute an integrated communications plan aligned to market priorities strategic narratives new product introductions and key campaigns.
- Serve as a trusted communications partner and counselor to India market leadership.
- Drive an integrated executive thought leadership program across earned owned and social for the local SVP & Managing Director.
- Localize and execute global communications strategy to support Indias role as a priority growth market.
- Own communications strategy execution and performance measurement (reach engagement and impact).
- Lead local crisis communications and external response efforts.
- Participate in Market Management staff meetings to ensure alignment with country business plans.
Desired Skills & Experience
- Bachelors degree in Journalism Communications or related field.
- 15 years of in house and agency experience ideally with a leading B2B technology or global brand.
- Established trusted relationships with top-tier media key journalists influencers and opinion leaders.
- Proven expertise in strategic brand building executive positioning and impactful storytelling.
- Media-savvy leader with experience across earned owned shared and paid channels.
- Strong balance of strategic thinking and hands-on execution.
- Exceptional writing editing narrative development and presentation skills.
- Demonstrated ability to operate effectively in a fast-paced complex global environment.
- Strong project management prioritization and budget management capabilities.
- Self-starter with the ability to quickly ramp up and deliver immediate impact.
- Highly collaborative team player with strong interpersonal skills.
- Fluency in English required.

Impacts large functions and leads projects requiring knowledge of multiple disciplines or areas of HP.
Complexity
Uses managerial concepts and company objectives to resolve highly complex issues in creative and effective ways. May achieve goals through subordinate supervisors.
