Purpose:
To manage Occupational Health Centre (OHC) operations and deliver comprehensive medical services for employees and contract workers ensuring health safety and statutory compliance within the plant environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide OPD emergency care and referral services at plant OHCs.
- Maintain emergency readiness (ambulance first-aid kits medicines) and conduct drills/training (First Aid/BLS/CPR).
- Ensure compliance with legal requirements (Factories Act GPCB norms) and maintain licenses and medical records.
- Conduct Periodic Medical Examinations (PME) and health surveillance for all employees and contract workmen.
- Organize health awareness programs wellness initiatives and vaccination drives.
- Support safety goals through BBS observations risk assessments and reduction of high-risk health cases.
- Train and develop paramedics and support staff; promote Kaizens and continuous improvement projects.
- Liaise with hospitals government health authorities and internal stakeholders for medical coordination.
Qualifications:
- MBBS with valid registration; AFIH/DIH preferred.
- Experience in industrial/occupational health (2 years desirable).
- Knowledge of emergency care statutory compliance and IMS documentation.
Skills:
- Clinical decision-making emergency response compliance management training facilitation and stakeholder communication.
