Job Summary

Assistant Officer - EHS

We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Assistant Officer - EHS with 5-7 years of experience to join our team in Singrauli Madhya Pradesh India. This full-time position is crucial for maintaining and enhancing our environmental health and safety standards.

Responsibilities:

Assist in the development implementation and monitoring of Environmental Health and Safety (EHS) programs and policies.
Conduct regular site inspections and audits to identify potential hazards and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and company standards.
Implement and manage Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) procedures to ensure safe maintenance and servicing of equipment.
Investigate EHS incidents near misses and accidents recommending and implementing corrective actions.
Maintain accurate EHS records and documentation including training inspection reports and incident logs.
Support EHS training initiatives for employees ensuring awareness and adherence to safety protocols.
Collaborate with various departments to promote a strong safety culture and continuous improvement in EHS performance.
Stay updated on relevant EHS legislation and best practices.
Assist in emergency preparedness and response planning.

Qualifications:

Bachelor of Science (.) degree in Environmental Science Occupational Health and Safety Engineering or a related field.
Minimum of 5 years and a maximum of 7 years of experience in an EHS role.
Proven experience with Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) procedures.
Strong understanding of environmental health and safety regulations in India.
Excellent analytical problem-solving and communication skills.
Ability to conduct thorough investigations and recommend effective solutions.
Proficiency in relevant EHS software and Microsoft Office Suite.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
