Job Summary
The KDHE Administrator for Little Apple Day Camp will perform the business operations of Little Apple Day Camp including but not limited to coordinating field trips transportation administrative duties such as answering phones and questions from parents coordinating between campers parents and staff in relation to camp procedures. The selected candidate(s) must be able to attend all in-service training sessions.
The position includes fulltime daytime hours (7:30 AM-5:30 PM) Monday-Friday during the summer camp timeframe. Administrator duties run from March to early August.
Job Duties
- Perform the business operations of the program.
- Executes administrative tasks and processes to include setting appointments calendar management preparing various types of correspondence filing record-keeping presenting important information answering questions responding to emails and phone calls and planning.
- Apply knowledge of licensing regulations governing school-age programs.
- Safely operates motor vehicles to pick up and transport program participants to and from programs field trips and other daily activities.
- Provides supervision and guidance to a group of children or youth under the direction of a camp staff.
- Maintains open communication with program participants and parents of participants enrolled in education programs.
- Performs minor first aid for injuries that may occur during education programs.
- Other duties as assigned.
Requirements
Required Knowledge Skills & Additional Qualifications
- High School diploma GED or equivalent.
- Demonstrated administrative abilities to include multitasking attention to detail and accuracy.
- Knowledge of licensing regulations governing school-age programs
- Selected candidate(s) must pass a KBI background check.
- Must be 18 years or older.
Preferred Knowledge & Skills
- First Aid/CPR/AED Certification

- This is not a KPERS covered position.
- Seasonal position (March August)
