Skybar Bartenders are responsible for preparing and serving alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages to guests courteously and efficiently according to Mondrian and Skybar standards.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES:
- Welcomes and entertains all customers to the venue professionally and courteously according to the established venue sequence of service.
- Assure opening checklist is completed and the bar area is prepared for opening.
- Always use the 10/5 rule when encountering guests.
- Guide guests ordering food & beverages from the QRs menu make recommendations and answer questions regarding beverages and food preparation and specials.
- Follow stablished carding policy ensuring 21 years of age for alcohol consumption.
- Assure sales of alcohol to hotel guest only by asking for their hotel room number and their last name.
- Be knowledgeable of menu item preparation ingredients and time of preparation.
- Take food and or beverage orders in a timely manner enter them in the device provided and advise staff of any dietary allergies or special requests.
- Serve guests in a timely and courteous manner and check for guest satisfaction within 3 minutes after food or drinks have been served
- Clean and maintain bar area throughout your shift.
- Be a team player assist others in the spirit of servers comradery for the benefit of our guest to receive superior dining experience.
- Be ready to answer in-room dining calls when assigned or working by yourself and take food & beverage orders.
- Advise in-room dining guests how long their order will take to be delivered.
- Be knowledgeable of hotel amenities and hours operating of operation.
- Strong organization and problem-solving skills.
- Complete closing checklist.
- Assist in month end inventories as requested.
- Follow health department safety protocols follow safety procedures sanitize areas after guests leave.
- Maintain cleanliness of venue counters sinks utensils shelves and storage areas.
- Restock and replenish refrigerators liquor cabinets according to par list.
- Complete Barback duties as needed
- Perform additional duties as requested by the supervisor
- Complete closing duties within your scheduled time
- Other duties as assigned
Pay Range: $20.22 per hour
Qualifications :
EXPERIENCE:
- At least 2 years of bar experience preferably in one of the following: upscale or lifestyle brand hotel night club or day club.
- Speaking other languages is a plus but not required.
- Must have a flexible schedule: days evenings weekends and holidays.
EDUCATION:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- State-Certified Alcohol Compliance Training (ABC/RBS)
- Food Handlers Card
WORKING CONDITIONS & PHYSICAL WORK DEMANDS:
- Able to stand during shifts
- Able to stoop kneel bend at the waist and reach on a daily basis.
- Able to lift and move up to 30 pounds occasionally.
- Hours may exceed 40 hours per week.
- Regular and on-time attendance is critical.
