The Opportunity

The Medical Partner plays a vital role in Roches customer engagement model by building long-term trusted relationships with key stakeholders to support optimized medical practices in priority disease areas. This role enhances the impact of Roches medical function focusing on accelerating pipeline delivery differentiating the portfolio through data fostering strategic advocacy and driving access and adoption of innovations by engaging in critical Moments that Matter throughout the asset lifecycle.

Responsibilities

• Medical Expertise and Strategy: The Medical Partner proactively provides deep scientific and therapeutic expertise shaping integrated medical strategies that differentiate Roches pipeline and portfolio. They lead local strategies demonstrate the value story and act as medical experts across the product lifecycle.

• Customer Engagement and Insights: They prioritize proactive medical engagement with external stakeholders driving early and broad adoption of innovations through peer-to-peer collaborations targeted scientific exchanges insights generation and addressing unmet needs in line with squad-aligned goals.

• Evidence Planning and Implementation: They develop and execute local Integrated Evidence Plans (IEPs) by addressing evidence gaps supporting studies and creating tactics to ensure impactful data generation that supports portfolio access adoption and continuous value demonstration.

• Operational Excellence and Compliance: Medical activities are executed following the highest standards of compliance ethical practices corporate policies and Good Clinical/Pharmacovigilance Practices to maintain Roches license to operate.

• Patient Impact and HTA Focus: The Medical Partner contributes to HTA submissions ensuring scientific and clinical credibility facilitates fast access to medicines for underserved populations and addresses patient needs by integrating insights that shape medical practices and company strategies locally.

• Pipeline and Ecosystem Shaping: They strategically inform and contribute to the development and ecosystem readiness for new therapeutic areas and indications leveraging data expertise to communicate Roches value propositions credibly and driving innovations forward.

• Medical Information and Regulatory Support: The Medical Partner ensures management of medical information inquiries safety issues and regulatory submissions to expedite approvals while maintaining medical integrity and compliance contributing to Roches operational effectiveness.

Who you are

• Degree in Medical Pharmaceutical or Natural Sciences (e.g. MD PharmD PhD or equivalent) with prior experience in Medical Affairs Clinical Research or significant scientific/clinical expertise in a relevant Disease Area.

• Fluency in English is essential for global collaboration.

• Customer and Value Focus: Prioritizes the needs of patients and healthcare providers (HCPs/TAEs) focusing on value creation sustainability and impactful contributions to patients customers and society across ecosystems.

• Skills and Mindset: Demonstrates strategic acumen assertive communication and an entrepreneurial mindset to navigate ambiguity propose value-adding solutions and uphold Roches license to operate while maintaining a holistic view of patient business and stakeholder needs.

• Collaboration and Networking: Excels at cross-functional teamwork removing silos and sharing expertise across organizations and countries. Displays leadership self-motivation accountability and a proactive approach in supporting a multi-skilled team (squad).
