About the Opportunity
Samaritans Youth Homelessness Support Service provides personcentred collaborative support to young people at risk of or experiencing homelessness. As a Case Worker you will work with a diverse group of young people who require varying levels of support as they work toward securing safe stable and sustainable housing.
In this role you will assess individual needs develop tailored case plans and coordinate wraparound supports to help each young person achieve their goals. Youll play a key part in ensuring young people can remain safely housedwhether in their existing accommodation or through new secure optionswhile providing professional accountable and compassionate case management throughout their journey.

Essential Criteria
- Minimum diploma Community Services or tertiary qualification in psychology social work social services or related discipline or relevant experience in a similar role.
- Extensive experience supporting young people facing mental health AOD domestic violence and homelessness with at least 3 years in a similar role
- Demonstrated ability to assess young people and deliver strengthsbased personcentred case work including developing implementing and reviewing case plans.
- Strong communication rapportbuilding and conflictresolution skills enabling effective engagement with young people families and key stakeholders.
- Ability to build and maintain collaborative relationships with internal and external services including effective networking across government and non-government providers.
- Advanced understanding of rapid rehousing child protection requirements WHS cultural diversity and ethical practice.
- Highly developed organisational administrative and computer skills with proven capacity to work independently maintain confidentiality and contribute to multidisciplinary teams.
