Head: Financial Services Centre
Introduction
A vacancy exists for a Head: Financial Services Centre based at Head Office in Dunkeld reporting to the Finance Executive. The successful candidate will be responsible for facilitating the standardisation and streamlining of financial expertise to support the F&A function in the business.
Critical Outputs- Manage the Financial Services Centre (-70 people).
- Oversee the centralized accounting for the business (-100 accounting entities) (assets banking debtor accounting accounts payable inventory payroll head office / corporate services accounting and reporting employee share trust treasury and payments function (accounts payable (foreign and local) and payroll). This includes reporting and budget preparation.
- Ensure compliance with accounting standards Tax and other legislation corporate governance company procedures and protocols within the group.
- Strive to continually evolve processes by finding efficiencies through IT and process re-engineering.
- Develop accounting policies and processes for new business lines / changes in processes. Continuously review department policies and procedures to identify and implement efficiencies improvements and innovations.
- Integrate new businesses into the company on the finance side.
- Initiate and manage projects and direct the development and implementation of financial process protocols for the business.
- Lead the team through changes eg in IFRS ERP etc.
- Staff management including training and development. Industrial Relations Training would be beneficial.
Requirements- CA qualification
- 5-10 years experience.
- Up to date IFRS knowledge.
- Good understanding of Tax and other related requirements
- Detailed financial process and Internal Controls / Risk understanding.
- Strong management skills.
- Training and influential skills.
- Proficient in MS Office.
- Good interpersonal skills. - communication at all levels (written and verbal)
- Understanding of the private healthcare industry its challenges and role players would be an advantage.
