Year 4 Teacher – Swindon

We are seeking a confident enthusiastic and dedicated Year 4 Teacher to join a supportive and forward-thinking primary school in Swindon starting as soon as possible. This is an exciting opportunity for a teacher who is passionate about Upper Key Stage 2 and enjoys delivering engaging lessons that develop pupils knowledge skills and confidence.

The Role

As a Year 4 Teacher you will be responsible for planning delivering and assessing lessons across the national curriculum. You will support pupils as they consolidate their learning and develop independence resilience and positive learning behaviours.

You will work closely with teaching assistants Key Stage 2 colleagues and senior leaders to ensure a consistent and high-quality learning experience for all pupils. Building strong relationships with parents and carers will also be an essential part of the role ensuring shared support for pupils progress.

Key Responsibilities

• Plan deliver and assess engaging lessons across the Year 4 curriculum

• Track pupil progress and use assessment to inform planning

• Differentiate learning to meet the needs of all pupils including SEND and EAL learners

• Maintain a structured inclusive and positive classroom environment

• Promote independence resilience and positive learning behaviours

• Collaborate effectively with teaching assistants and Key Stage 2 colleagues

• Communicate effectively with parents and carers

• Contribute to staff meetings CPD and whole-school initiatives

The Ideal Candidate

The successful candidate will:

• Hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)

• Have experience teaching Key Stage 2

• Be confident delivering literacy numeracy and foundation subjects

• Demonstrate excellent classroom management and organisational skills

• Be reflective proactive and adaptable

• Show a strong commitment to inclusion and safeguarding

• Work effectively as part of a collaborative team
