About the Role
The successful candidate will deliver engaging and challenging science lessons helping pupils develop a strong understanding of scientific concepts while encouraging curiosity and independent thinking.
Key responsibilities include:
Teaching Science across Key Stages 3 and 4 with the opportunity to teach a specialism at Key Stage 5
Planning and delivering engaging well-structured lessons that support pupil progress
Using practical experiments and investigations to bring scientific concepts to life
Monitoring and assessing pupil progress and providing constructive feedback
Supporting pupils of varying abilities to achieve their full potential
Contributing to the development of the science curriculum
Participating in departmental planning school events and enrichment activities
Experience and Skills
The successful candidate will:
Hold QTS or an equivalent teaching qualification
Have strong subject knowledge in Biology Chemistry or Physics
Demonstrate the ability to deliver engaging and effective lessons
Be passionate about science education and inspiring young learners
Possess excellent communication and classroom management skills
Work effectively as part of a collaborative department
