About the Role

The successful candidate will deliver engaging and challenging science lessons helping pupils develop a strong understanding of scientific concepts while encouraging curiosity and independent thinking.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Teaching Science across Key Stages 3 and 4 with the opportunity to teach a specialism at Key Stage 5

  • Planning and delivering engaging well-structured lessons that support pupil progress

  • Using practical experiments and investigations to bring scientific concepts to life

  • Monitoring and assessing pupil progress and providing constructive feedback

  • Supporting pupils of varying abilities to achieve their full potential

  • Contributing to the development of the science curriculum

  • Participating in departmental planning school events and enrichment activities

Experience and Skills

The successful candidate will:

  • Hold QTS or an equivalent teaching qualification

  • Have strong subject knowledge in Biology Chemistry or Physics

  • Demonstrate the ability to deliver engaging and effective lessons

  • Be passionate about science education and inspiring young learners

  • Possess excellent communication and classroom management skills

  • Work effectively as part of a collaborative department
