About the Role
The successful candidate will teach Music across Key Stages 3 and 4 with the opportunity to contribute to Key Stage 5 depending on experience. You will play a key role in delivering engaging lessons while supporting the schools wider musical programme.
Key responsibilities include:
Teaching Music across Key Stages 3 and 4
Planning and delivering engaging lessons covering performance composition and music theory
Encouraging pupils to develop confidence in performing and creative expression
Assessing pupil progress and providing constructive feedback
Supporting school concerts productions and musical events
Contributing to the development of the Music curriculum
Encouraging pupil participation in extracurricular music activities such as ensembles or clubs
Experience and Skills
The successful candidate will:
Hold QTS or an equivalent teaching qualification
Have strong subject knowledge in music performance and theory
Be confident teaching practical and theoretical music lessons
Demonstrate excellent classroom management and organisational skills
Be passionate about music education and inspiring young musicians
Work effectively within a collaborative department
