A large and expanding Southern California hospital recognized for strong patient safety performance is seeking an experienced Manager of Central Sterile Processing to oversee sterilization operations and maintain the highest standards of safety quality and efficiency.

The ideal candidate is an experienced sterile processing leader with strong knowledge of instrumentation regulatory compliance and workflow optimization ready to lead teams and elevate department performance.
Position Summary
The Manager Central Sterile provides 24/7 oversight of sterile processing operations ensuring all instruments equipment and medical devices are properly cleaned sterilized assembled and maintained in compliance with industry and regulatory standards.
Key Responsibilities
Lead daily sterile processing operations to support surgical and procedural services
Manage staffing performance scheduling training and competency development
Develop and enforce departmental policies for infection control and quality assurance
Ensure compliance with AAMI AORN OSHA FDA and CDC standards
Partner with perioperative and supply chain teams to improve workflows and inventory management
Monitor quality metrics and report operational performance data
Collaborate with surgeons OR staff and hospital leadership to enhance efficiency and communication
Promote a culture of safety accountability and continuous improvement
Qualifications
High school diploma or equivalent required
Completion of an approved Central Service Technology program required
Associates or Bachelors degree preferred
Minimum of 5 years of supervisory or management experience in sterile processing or surgical services required
Strong background in instrumentation and surgical services
Experience with compliance regulatory standards and quality initiatives
Proficiency with computer systems reporting tools and data tracking
Experience in a unionized environment preferred
Current CST certification AHA BLS and LA County Fire Card required within 30 days of hire

Base Salary: $60000 to $120000
