About the Opportunity
A large and rapidly expanding Southern California hospital is seeking a Director of Information Systems to lead enterprise technology strategy and digital transformation. The organization is recognized for strong patient safety performance and maintains a collaborative accountability-driven leadership culture focused on innovation and operational excellence.
This high-impact role reports directly to senior financial leadership and works closely with executive and clinical leaders to ensure information systems infrastructure and cybersecurity effectively support both clinical and business operations. The ideal candidate is a seasoned healthcare IT leader ready to drive modernization while maintaining stability compliance and security.
What Youll Be Doing
Provide strategic direction and oversight for all hospital information systems and IT operations
Develop and execute an IT roadmap aligned with organizational goals and future growth
Lead mentor and hold accountable a high-performing IT team
Oversee system implementations upgrades and integrations with defined timelines and budgets
Ensure cybersecurity HIPAA compliance access controls and data integrity across the enterprise
Serve as HIPAA Security Officer and lead audits risk assessments and incident response
Maintain and enhance disaster recovery and business continuity plans
Use performance metrics to evaluate and demonstrate IT effectiveness and ROI
Partner with clinical financial and operational leaders to support a collaborative tech-enabled culture
Qualifications
Bachelors degree in Computer Science Information Systems Business or a related field required
Minimum of two years of healthcare operations or administration experience
Minimum of two years of facility or systems management experience
Five or more years of progressive IT leadership experience in a hospital setting strongly preferred
Demonstrated experience with system conversions infrastructure and cybersecurity compliance
Strong strategic planning leadership and cross-functional collaboration skills
Excellent written and verbal communication abilities
Los Angeles County Fire Card and ARC certification required within 30 days of hire
Compensation and Benefits
Salary range: $115000 $170000 annually
Full benefits package
