Job Summary

Database Infrastructure Engineer
Location: Alpharetta GA (3 Days Hybrid)
Duration: 12 months (Possibility of conversion)
Interview: 1st round Virtual and 2nd round On-site

Must: - 90% Python and 10% Java

Very good python experience (most of MS framework is in python)
Enough Java exp to be dangerous (testing/certifying apps using snowflake)
Snowflake
- Good understand of Snowflake AI features (snowflake has a lot of AI functionalities)
- Snowflake Certification(s)
Linux Exp
- Ability to script using Shell or Bash within LINUX
Good SQL exp
- Be able to get around the database
Agile Environment
Communication is HUGE

Plus:

JIRA
Financial Services is a Big plus
Postgres (nice to have so they can cross mingle with the Postgres team)
Perl Scripting

D2D:

Focusing on combining an infra platform for the internal application who is primarily application developers - to make sure the snowflake feature sets are tests certified and made user friendly within MS
- Doing development

BU: Infrastructure Team in ETS

HM Owns two teams: Postgres and Snowflake (this role is for the snowflake team)
- Deal with the vendors onboards products within general consumption within Client
Any applications that want to use snowflake will have to come through this team
- There is a pipeline they will have to work through. Which requires multiple levels of approval. Once they are approved they will then be able to use snowflake as a product.
- To support all these tools: team delivers/supports all applications on Snowflake
