Job Summary

Job Title : Systems Engineer - Utility Power Distribution
Location : Springfield NJ

Full-time/Permanent

Join project teams to deliver world-class designs for new utility distribution projects alterations and redevelopments spanning 2.4kV to 34.5kV overhead and underground systems.

Key Responsibilities

Collaborate with project teams throughout design and construction adapting electrical distribution plans to align with budget constraints design specifications and client requirements.
Develop and prepare comprehensive distribution voltage packages for overhead and underground projects covering equipment installation feeder replacement cable replacement and new feeder design.
Create design sketches cost estimates bills of materials and other essential deliverables.
Conduct critical distribution calculations including cable-pulling voltage-drop and pole-loading analyses.
Apply in-depth knowledge of NESC standards along with relevant utility standards guides specifications and procedures.
Research and compile project-specific data as directed by project managers.
Perform field inspections of overhead and underground electric facilities on public and private utility systems.
Prepare and distribute project communications on vegetation management third-party attachments right-of-way acquisition and outage planning.
Develop client-facing presentations reports and visualizations to showcase technical results and project status.
