Business Strategy Intern

As a Business Strategy Intern at Air New Zealand you will help tackle complex questions that influence how we grow compete and deliver value for Aotearoa and the world. This is a hands-on opportunity to turn curiosity and analysis into real enterprise impact.

You will join our Strategy team working alongside experienced leaders who help set direction across the airline. This full-time internship is for a minimum of three months and is designed to give you meaningful exposure to how strategy is shaped and delivered in a large complex organisation.

What youll be doing

• Supporting enterprise-wide strategy projects that address real commercial and operational challenges.
• Applying structured thinking and analysis to develop insights and recommendations for senior leaders.
• Contributing to research financial modelling and problem solving across a range of business topics.
• Working closely with the Strategy team and wider networks to deliver high-quality outputs.
• Gaining exposure to both day-to-day strategic activity and longer-term planning initiatives.
• Building a strong professional network across Air New Zealand including time at both the Airport Operations Campus and the City Commercial Head Office.

What were looking for

• The right to work in New Zealand.
• Able to commit to the job in a full-time capacity.
• Currently studying towards or recently completed a tertiary qualification in business management engineering mathematics science or a related discipline.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to think clearly through complex issues.
• A strong academic record demonstrated by your most recent unofficial academic transcript.
• Clear communication skills and a proactive approach to learning in a fast-paced environment.
