Job Objective

Manage and maintain UNIX AIX/SOLARIS & Linux operating system-based servers. Install configure and troubleshoot AIX/SOLARIS servers ensuring maximum performance and uptime for all Unix servers leading to optimal performance

Key Duties & Responsibilities

Functional Responsibilities:

Handle the Operations design implementation and maintenance of our Unix SOLARIS & Linux infrastructure ensuring alignment with business goals and industry best practices
Install configure and maintain Unix-based systems SOLARIS and Linux systems.
Perform system updates patches and upgrades to ensure security and performance
Monitor system performance and troubleshoot issues including system crashes and application failures
Implement and maintain security protocols firewalls and access controls to protect system integrity
Create and manage user accounts and permissions
Define and enforce standards policies and procedures for Unix SOLARIS system administration security and compliance
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify opportunities for automation process improvement and optimization
Evaluate emerging technologies and trends in Unix administration recommending innovative solutions to enhance efficiency and effectiveness
Develop and maintain documentation including system configurations procedures and troubleshooting guides
Perform other responsibilities as required by higher levels of supervision
Good with performance tuning and Migrations of systems.

Job Specifications

Minimum Job Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Information Technology Computer Science or related field preferred from an accredited university

Minimum Work Experience:

9-12 years of experience as Unix SOLARIS & Linux Administrator or in a similar role with demonstrated expertise in managing complex Unix environment for lead level

A minimum of Four (4) years of experience in UNIX SOLARIS administration or a related field for Specialist level
