Transportation Coordinator Direct Hire Company Benefits Growing Company!

Compensation

Pay Rate: $32.21 per hour

The Shuttle & Spotting Coordinator has responsibility for the operational execution of shuttle and spotting programs ensuring the needs of the business are met. The role will monitor and collaborate with providers and the operation to align structure with dynamic requirements. Role will encompass the vast ONE Novolex north American network executing solutions for 100 total manufacturing and distribution locations.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Engage service providers on continuous safety improvement opportunities that are aligned with the sites overall safety rules of engagement
  • Align shuttle and spotting needs by site with service providers ensuring operational needs are being met with no disruptions to productivity or service
  • Proactively identify upcoming surges and reductions in output and adjust operations as needed
  • Actively address areas of waste with regards to over deployment of labor and equipment in the shuttle and spotting operations
  • Trailer pool management focused on ensuring optimal trailer pools are being maintained and utilized to maximize efficiency and control costs
  • Perform periodic invoice audits ensuring billing is aligned with contractual agreements
  • Support various projects as needed or assigned
  • Engage leadership as opportunities and issues arise that need additional support or attention

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent and 3 years of logistics/customer service experience
  • Knowledge of the transportation industry
  • Ability to multi-task and operate in a fast-paced environment
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel Word Outlook)
  • Effective communication skills both verbal and written
  • Ability to work comfortably in a collaborative team environment
  • A can do attitude and the drive to back it up

Preferred

  • BA/BS in Logistics or Business
  • Knowledge of SAP
  • Experience with Transportation Management System applications (BlueYonder preferred)
  • Experience with transportation visibility software (FourKites preferred)
  • Previous experience with Tableau
