Responsibilities:
The Chemistry Lab intern/co-op will work to provide analytical research process optimization data analysis and environmental support to various business units throughout Marathon Petroleum Corporation and its affiliates. The intern will support these activities through special project work day-to-day laboratory and field activities and exposure to a variety of analytical techniques and methodologies (i.e. gas chromatography wet chemistry x-ray data analytics etc.). The special project work may meet the students capstone requirement.
Qualifications:
Candidates must be pursuing a Bachelors degree in Chemistry.
Concurrent enrollment in a Bachelors degree (or higher) seeking program for the duration of the experience.
Strong academic performance.
Proficiency in Microsoft 365 applications is preferred.
Candidates must be authorized to work in the US on a full-time indefinite basis without the need for employment visa sponsorship now or in the future.
Availability to work 40 hours per week.
A valid drivers license is required.
MIN - $21.06 per hour / MAX - $29.83 per hour
