The RF Machining and Fabrication Engineer is responsible formanaging intake scheduling and services provided in amachineshop. The position offers the opportunity to work across a range of engineering disciplines including but not limited to laser systems radio frequency technology high voltage systems engineeringcomponentcreation installations and repair.

Key responsibilities include creating reworking andmodifyingelectrical assemblies engineering components on Circuit Card Assemblies (CCAs) prototype sub-assemblies completed assemblies cables and harness systems in adherence to engineering drawings schematics or work instructions.TheRF Machining and Fabrication Engineerwill play a critical role in supporting hardware integration by providing recommendations and collaborating with mid and upper-level Engineering and Leadership teams to troubleshoot and resolve issues.

This position may also require travel to other company locations to support project needs.

What You Will Do:

TheRF Machining and Fabrication Engineer will support a wide range of engineering tasks and responsibilities including but not limited to:

• Create rework andmodifyengineering components on CCAs prototype sub-assemblies completed assemblies cables harness systems and perform necessary repairs by reading and accurately following schematics prints sketches and written or verbal instructions.
• Fabricate repair and replacemechanical and electrical components including harnesses cables chassis breakout boxes test boxes and electrical supply boxes as well as performing work on antennas.
• Utilizetools and equipment such as mills lathes chop saws sheet metal presses and 3D printers for the design layout and fabrication of engineering parts and assemblies.
• Identifyfailures isolateproblems and recommend corrective actions to ensure quality and functionality of components and systems.
• Collaboratewith engineering teams to provide support and feedback while reporting potential risks or issues that mayimpactprogram schedules or quality.
• Development testing and repair of critical engineering systems and components.

Qualifications You Must Have:

Typically requires aBachelors inScience Technology Engineering or Mathematics (STEM)degreeora minimumof2years prior relevant experienceto include any combination of the following:

• Experience assistingin the operation ofa machine shop in a lab environmentperformingcable and harness assembly fabrication and rework.
• Experience reading and followingengineering prints schematics sketches and verbal or written instructions including test procedures.
• Experience using tools such as lathes mills band saws grinders drill press soldering irons wire strippers cutters and electric heat guns.
• Experience with soldering mechanical processes quality standards documentation and / or the safe use of lab chemicals.
• Experience with verification and inspection processes including associated standards and documentation.

Qualifications We Prefer:

• Experience with CCA manufacturing including fabrication standards processes documentation and assembly or reworkofcircuit card assemblies.
• IPC J-STD-001 solder certification along with IPC 610 and 620 acceptability certification and inspection experience.
• Proficiencyin 3D printing and its application to engineering tasks.
• Demonstrated ability to deliver high-quality work in a fast-paced engineering environment whether working independently or collaboratively as a motivated self-starter.
• Strong organizational skills with the ability toestablishcustomer priorities manage multiple tasks effectively and exercise good judgment.

This position requires a security clearance. DCSA Consolidated Adjudication Services (DCSA CAS) an agency of the Department of Defense handles and adjudicates the security clearance process. The salary range for this role is 68900 USD - 131100 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer including but not limited to the role function and associated responsibilities a candidates work experience location education/training and key skills.

Payments under these annual programs are not guaranteed and are dependent upon a variety of factors including but not limited to individual performance business unit performance and/or the companys performance.
