Construction Labourers & Operators - Paving

We are currently looking for Labourers and Operators to add to our Asphalt Paving Crews!
Reporting directly to the Crew Foreman the Labourer/Operator will be responsible for general paving site activities that support the various Forest Contractors Ltd. operations.
Additional responsibilities include:
- Raking spreading and compacting asphalt
- Operating various heavy machinery to pave roads & parking lots
- General site maintenance including sweeping properly disposing material and keeping equipment and tools neat and organized
- Material handling loading and unloading work vehicles
- Using hand and power tools to complete various basic construction tasks
- Working in an outdoor setting in a variety of weather conditions
- Other duties as required
Qualified candidates will possess:
- Experience in the road building/rehabilitation industry is strongly preferred
- Minimum 2 years experience operating an asphalt roller spreader and/or skid steer is required for operator roles
- Ability to travel to sites in Greater Toronto Area is required
- Excellent communication skills
- A positive attitude and willingness to work as a part of a team
- Experience in the construction industry with a willingness to learn
- Ability to multi task and work in a fast-paced environment
- A safety conscious demeanor and willingness to adhere to company safety policies practices and procedures
- The ability to follow instructions
- Valid drivers license
- Training in traffic control is also considered an asset
