The Academic Recovery Coordinator supports the universitys academic recovery and retention initiatives by providing direct administrative technical and student support under the supervision of the Academic Recovery Manager. This position assists with the implementation and tracking of academic recovery plans coordinates communication with students and faculty and ensures accurate data entry and reporting to enhance program efficiency and student outcomes.

Essential duties:
- Meet individually with students including those on academic probation suspension or identified as at-risk as well as student-athletes flagged through academic alerts GPA monitoring or athletic eligibility concerns to review Academic Recovery Plans support NCAA academic compliance set goals and monitor progress.
- Conduct follow-up meetings (in-person & virtually) to monitor improvement address challenges and encourage accountability.
- Provide students with guidance on university academic resources such as tutoring advising writing labs and success workshops.
- Maintain detailed documentation of all student meetings and communications in the Universitys CRM or designated tracking systems.
- Serve as a first point of contact for students in the Academic Recovery Program referring complex cases or policy questions to the Academic Recovery Manager.
- Input and maintain accurate data in CRM Degree Works and tracking reports related to student academic recovery.
- Run regular reports and check GPA eligibility and recovery plan completion.
- Assist with preparation of program reports and presentations for leadership review.
- Maintain organized records of communication documentation and recovery plans for compliance purposes.
- Coordinate communication between Academic Recovery Athletics Advising and Student Services to ensure consistent student support.
- Help plan and support academic success programming such as study skills workshops orientation sessions and recovery coaching events.
- Coordinate and participate in Enrollment Management and University events such as Welcome Week College Preview Weekend Athletic compliance meetings.
- Maintain confidentiality of student records and align with FERPA and institutional standards.
- Attend department meetings and take notes.
Qualifications:
- Bachelors degree required
- 1-2 years of experience in academic advising student services higher education administration or a related field
- Strong organizational skills attention to detail and excellent communication and interpersonal abilities with the capacity to establish rapport
- Demonstrated ability to interpret academic policy degree requirements and curriculum structures across a variety of academic disciplines
- Ability to work a flexible schedule that may include days evenings and weekends including occasional Saturdays
- Reliable transportation to travel to and from work in a timely manner
- Competent in or able to be trained on relevant systems including CRM platforms Microsoft Suite Canvas Cognos Degree Works and phone systems with the ability to multi-task and type at least 40 WPM
