Shift: Day Shift 7:00 AM 3:00 PM
Compensation:
Local: $1575/week
Travel: $2098.80/week
Position Summary
Navitas Healthcare LLC is seeking a detail-oriented and highly skilled Telemetry Technician to provide continuous cardiac monitoring and advanced ECG interpretation in a fast-paced clinical environment. This role is essential in ensuring patient safety through accurate rhythm analysis timely identification of cardiac abnormalities and effective communication with the clinical care team.
Key Responsibilities
Perform continuous ECG and telemetry monitoring with accurate rhythm interpretation
Analyze ECG strips and identify abnormal or life-threatening dysrhythmias
Monitor and respond appropriately to telemetry alarms and system alerts
Initiate emergency response protocols including calling and supporting cardiac codes
Record cardiac rhythms during code events and other critical situations
Perform EKGs across clinical settings ensuring proper electrode placement
Troubleshoot telemetry equipment and monitoring issues as needed
Communicate critical findings clearly with nurses physicians and interdisciplinary teams
Enter verify and manage physician orders within electronic systems
Retrieve laboratory results and escalate critical values to the charge nurse
Maintain accurate documentation in compliance with organizational and regulatory standards
Safely operate and manage telemetry and cardiac monitoring equipment
Required Skills & Qualifications
Strong knowledge of cardiac rhythms and dysrhythmia interpretation
Ability to recognize and respond to urgent and emergent cardiac conditions
Proficiency with basic computer applications including Microsoft Office
Excellent communication critical thinking and attention to detail
Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced clinical environment
Education & Certification Requirements
High School Diploma or equivalent (required)
BLS Certification (AHA or American Red Cross) current within one year
Completion of a Dysrhythmia Course (required)
