About us
Logiqal is on a mission to build the first scaled quantum computer deploying millions of qubits to tackle the worlds most important problems. Our thesis is that you have to build a full scale machine to learn what the actual hard parts are just like you have to build a full scale rocket before the first launch. Were looking for visionary scientists and engineers to join our team to move fast and blow stuff up.
Based in Princeton NJ our founding physics team has decades of combined research experience at leading academic and industry labs including Princeton Harvard Yale MIT and Google Quantum. Our approach is based on neutral atom qubit technology developed in research labs at Princeton by the founding team. Our scalable systems are composed of manufacturable sub-modules controlled by state-of-the-art CMOS optoelectronics and designed around a unique computer architecture.
If youre excited to build something thats never existed before at the cutting edge of physics and engineering the chance to shape both the technology and the company from the ground up come build with us!
Applications will be reviewed on a rolling basis and those received before Feb. 9 are guaranteed full consideration.
About this role
As a Logiqal QEC/architecture intern youll work directly with our QEC and software team to develop new tools for fault-tolerant computing with neutral atoms. Intern projects are expected to be technically substantial directly contributing to our approach to quantum error correction and having the potential to result in a publication.
We welcome applicants from physics computer science applied math and related fields. If youre curious driven and love building hard things we want to hear from you even if your background doesnt line up perfectly with any one area. You would be a particularly strong fit if you have experience in one or more of:
as well as general strengths in:
Analytical and problemsolving skills
Ability to design build debug and iterate quickly
Working in a fastpaced environment
Curiosity initiative and a desire to solve problems inspired by real hardware
We value applicants at all training levels advanced undergraduates MS and PhD students are all encouraged to apply.
This role is open to current students at the undergraduate MS or PhD level at US-based institutions. This internship is onsite at our lab near Princeton New Jersey. The compensation band for this role is $25-$40/hour with an additional housing stipend if you are relocating to the Princeton area.
