About the Role

You will be working at Royal Prince Alfred Hospital (RPAH). It is one of the nations most respected hospitals with a distinguished history of serving the health needs of local statewide national and international communities. Our facilities and services are world class and our staff are dedicated innovative and caring.

The RPAH Stroke Clinic is a highly regarded provider of stroke and neurovascular outpatient services. The Stroke Clinic is run by a dedicated team of supportive Health and Admin professionals with an emphasis on delivering quality patient care consistently. It is located within the RPA Neurosciences clinic the largest and busiest neurosciences public outpatient clinic in the country. Whilst the RPA Stroke Clinic will be the anchor clinic you will be required to cover other neuro clinics as required.

The Neurosciences Team is a lean resourced high functioning outpatients clinic set in the countrys leading public hospital. This position is not for the faint hearted. We are seeking to complement our team of admin professionals and a supportive and professional workplace culture with a calm collected and mature minded thinker who can maintain a sense of humour under pressure and tight deadlines can carry a smile in difficult situations with demanding clinicians and calmly resolve difficult conversations.

The individual we are seeking must be comfortable with change and variety in administration tasks dal with competing deadlines issued by clinicians and the Business build workplace relationships based on trust precision and reliance. Comfortable jumping in out and across clinics at short notice be aware of their workplace and patient safety brings a passion and appreciation of the importance for end-to-end accuracy of processes patient management and care of their data.

A sophisticated use of Microsoft Office is a must with familiarity of hospital booking and billing systems preferred. A willingness to learn to do what has to be done a lean to detail and a natural contributor to a sophisticated workplace culture and an ability to maintain a sense of humour and stamina will be the keys to your success in this role.

Ideal Candidate

  • Ability to work Monday to Friday.
  • Keen eye for detail. Accuracy and precision is a must.
  • Can let go of issues like water off a ducks back.
  • Self-organisation and flexibility must come naturally.
  • Ability to cope with difference take direction and manage possible competing agendas applying a mature risk lens across tasks deadlines and outcomes.
  • Work in a close-knit team that supports and cares for each others well-being in a high performing high volume outpatient clinic in Australias largest public hospital.
  • Must have a naturally buoyant personality can maintain a sense of humour where a smile and can-do attitude is the first response to difficult patients demanding clinicians and situations.
  • High level of proficiency with MSO.
  • Experience with patient booking technologies preferred but must be comfortable learning new IT solutions.
  • No job is too small bring a preparedness to do any task required to ensure the smooth running of the clinic.
  • Calm and collected phone manner with a professional and courteous tone in correspondence.
  • A challenging and rewarding role not for the faint of heart.
