Job Summary
Key Responsibilities
- Cybersecurity Analyst II: Monitor and secure information systems identify any potential risks or breaches and develop strategies to prevent security incidents.
- Identify information system and network vulnerabilities by conducting regular audits. Install and use software such as firewalls and data encryption programs to protect sensitive information.
- Develop and implement effective security policies and protocols.
- Respond to security incidents and provide detailed incident reports.
- Conduct penetration testing to simulate attacks and identify weak points.
- Work with the IT team to establish disaster recovery plans.
- Stay up to date on the latest intelligence including hacker methodologies in order to anticipate security breaches.
- Educate the workforce on information security through training and awareness programs.
- Recommend security enhancements to management or senior IT staff.
- Bachelors degree in computer science information technology or an equivalent science technology engineering & mathematics (STEM) degree from an accredited college or university or equivalent professional certification for years of
experience per CSWF certification requirements - DoD 8570 IAT Level II certification
- CompTIA Security
- 8570 CSSP certification
- 3years ofprofessional experience in performing analysis of logs and events vulnerability management tools (i.e ACAS Tenable); and of various data collection tools; as well as experience automating processes through scripting and
assessing impacts from observed risks and present the findings through the chain-of-command
