About the role

As the Manager Employee Health you will play a pivotal leadership role within the senior management team shaping the direction of recovery at work and employee health services across the state. This is a highimpact position where your expertise and influence will drive strategic decisions that strengthen the departments safety culture enhance employee wellbeing and deliver measurable improvements in recovery at work outcomes and performance.

You will lead and manage a dynamic team of RTW staff with diverse skills and capabilities in a highvolume environment fostering a healthy workplace culture and ensuring the effective delivery of recovery at work services to schools and workplaces. Your leadership will ensure services are delivered in accordance with policy procedures and legislation with a strong focus on improving return to work outcomes and minimising the impact of employee absence on schools and workplaces supporting educational continuity.

About you

  • Strong leadership skills with proven experience in managing a large team.
  • Ability to build and maintain relationships with internal and external partners communicating with confidence and representing the department in forums interagency committees and working parties.
  • Proficiently manage professional development and staff capability fostering a highperformance culture that delivers exemplary customer service and maximises outcomes across the team.
  • Thrives in a high-volume environment with the ability to deliver consistent high-quality services.
  • Experience in managing sensitive information exercising discretion confidentiality and sound judgement at all times.

Key knowledge and experience

Essential requirements of the role

  • Experience in managing and leading a team.
  • Tertiary qualifications and training from the fields of RTW/employee health management or leadership and/or equivalent work history and experience.
  • Current NSW Drivers licence (or equivalent) and willingness to drive and travel.
  • Demonstrated understanding of and commitment to the value of public education.

Renewal is not required after the WWCC expires as long as you remain in a nonchild-related role. Employer obligations only apply while the WWCC is valid.
